08 - Electing Committee Members for a Drinking Water System Project

A "Project Implementation Committee" (PIC), consisting of 9 local people (women and men) is chosen among all local villagers to be the main, village based committee responsible for the implementation of the Drinking Water System Project. The PIC works in close relation with RIDS-Nepal's project team for all the daily as well as the strategic decision making. In this way any unforeseen problems and issues can be identified in time, can be discussed and appropriate solutions can be developed and implemented right away. In this way the project stands a high chance to have from the beginning a high interest and ownership feeling by the local end users.
