I love how this tragic and tormenting music seems to so beautifully embody the tragic life of John Morris. A man who as a child watched his father strike the killing blow to dracula only to be mortally wounded himself and to later as an adult find himself thrust into making the same decision to battle the same threat that claimed his father's life. A quest that being only distant relatives of the Belmonts they really have no business being involved in and having been bequeathed a weapon he can't fully use to it's greatest potential lest it too claim his life, it's a no win situation. Add the realization that whether he succeeds or fails, he WILL die and his own son will eventually have to experience the same pain and loss as a child that he did and perhaps one day have to fight the same evil that claimed the lives of both his father and grandfather is haunting indeed and this music seems to capture that essence beautifully.

I think this refers to Eric, he literally had his wife killed and vampired in the middle of the first world war by Elizabeth, and then had a tragic end after tyd, he had. His friend killed by the vampire killer, saw his two daughters being turned into vampires and then was killed turning into a wandering spirit

I love how Shibata took inspiration from some of the 70s - more or less obscure - bands for the Perfect Selection albums. This song and Requiem for the Nameless Victims almost feel like a tribute to Camel's 'Stationary Traveller' guitars and general structures. This is the kind of GREAT stuff Konami used to give us in the 90's

Thank you for the Camel comparison, i knew it wasn't just me Their song Echoes off Breathless is also somewhat similar to some of the faster songs :D

This sounds more tragic and serious compared to the original. Damn I love it!

Playing this... alone... 1 guitar... it is even more dramatic. During the night, big ass headphones connected to the amp... cool memories

Anthem is a fuckin' incredible band. Shibata and Shimizu are titans. Shimizu in particular kills it on this track. My favorite part is at 1:43 to 2:25.

This album was so much better than it had a right to be. One of those curious little hidden gems.

Nah, it has every right to be considering it's done by Anthem, a legend among classic Japanese metal bands.

Why couldn't the Castlevania Netflix series have music like this? This is as Castlevania as a track can get while still having a recognizable feeling for a more mainstream audience
@fallenknight30168 ай бұрын
because the series is crap
@SomeDemoMainАй бұрын
Because Netflix sucks. Netflixvania is carried by the main cast's voice actors, and Nocturne is _ass._ They did Richter and Juste terribly; Nocturne's only saving grace is Olrox.

This sounds even more like a villain-confrontation theme than the stage theme this is arranged from. :D

White Raven Not really, unless it is about a tragic villain, as it keeps switching from a sad to a more maniacal tone. It is too torn between both.

Love the little hints of Moonlight Sonata in this. A great arrangement, really expands on the original.
