Oscar does gives the meaning takes the call. He took the call and the telephone off the wall right onto his trash can. Oscar took the telephone from Hooper's Store into his trash can. I'm guessing you might say it's a long distance call perhaps? I'm just saying right here on KZbin channel for sure!
