Same here I just got one I've owned a1985 rx7 and 2008 RX8. But before them I've always wanted one of these I love rotary engines this is the best video rebuild anything online I've watched the whole catalog of his videos today mine is like his blue one he has.

So I was talking to this guy that made a custom bobber with the RE5 engine. He was able to make the RE5 overlap sound really powerful and gave it the sound a lot of people would expect a PP rotary to sound like. All he did was remove the butterfly valve from the main housing in the engines inlet port. I want to try this out but my RE5 works great so no need to take apart the engine. However I wonder if it is possible to take the butterfly valve out by unscrewing it without taking apart the engine housing @6:19.

All this work and doesn't even replace the apex seals. Why not?
