Jesus was following rules prescribed to the Levite priests for ritual Mikva/baptism/cleansing prior to beginning His ministry as the last & only High Priest King, for all those adopted into His family of believers. It tied in with Him saying He did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. He did every single thing properly, as prescribed by Father God. What an amazing truth!!!
