More pink, shimmer, less of the darker grey. Use it as a little contrast instead of an equal amount to the softer colors. Your choice of colors are fine. It's just the amount of each. You Got This!

I made a shawl for a friend with almost the same pink and grey, she loved it and I love that shelf. I'm honestly thrilled for your daughter that she took in a baby. My mom died when I was 18 months old and my father didn't want me. My aunt and uncle were granted custody of me over my grand parents and God parents (apparently it was a family fight). You must have been an amazing mother to raise a woman like her. God bless and good luck. You always do inspire me.

Oh, this is so sweet, mrs.lynn I am truly, truly sad about you losing your precious mother at such a young age. I am happy to know that family was fighting for you 😊. I dont understand how a mother can abuse and walk away from their own child. It hurts so bad to see these things happening. I don't know if I was an amazing mother. I was always the hardest on myself. No one else had to be. 😊 my girls say I did alright 🤣🤣 I do have 2 great girls!!! the idea of a giveaway with things made with left over resin is a very good idea and if people dont like it they dont have to enter for it lol you use whatever mold you like you have so many great molds that i have seen so far...little statuettes would be goo too like kitties and dogs and things like that the hands are gonna be great we all need a colorful item in our lives it make some people happy lol the shelf looks lovely and that baby girl is very lucky to have a foster granny like you

Absolutely YES on the giveaway idea! I've seen this hand mold done in other giveaways, and they always turn out so pretty and interesting. I can't wait to see how yours comes out. I think the shelf turned out really pretty. I have always found that the colors one person doesn't like .... there's ten other people who love that same color combination. No matter how you go, you'll please someone. I used to watch other peoples videos to get ideas on colors, glitter, etc. I'm bad with colors too, but have always been amazed at some of the creations other artists come up with. I would never have known that you had issues with deciding on colors .... it doesn't show. ALL your pieces come out beautifully! Hugs and kisses from Annie and Minnie.

Thank you, my dear friend 🧡 Oh yes, I do struggle with colors. Sometimes, I will get so aggravated at myself for taking so long to choose colors. I leave my craftroom to clear my head a bit. I have heard about an app that helps you with colors. It's not colors that don't go together that I struggle with. I know which colors you're not supposed to blend next to and whatnot. It's just plain Ole choosing colors for my project that takes me forever. My husband says that I'm thinking about it too much 🤣. I don't know, but it's definitely a struggle for me. God bless your daughter for taking in that precious baby. ❤️ I love the shelf. Lighter gray... just add white pigment to gray you have. You can find colour pallettes on Google. It shows you what colours go well together. Then you can just use the colour wheel to make sure it's not going to make mud brown when those resin colours mix together when you pour. Not too bad 😊 Just remember gray, like black/gold/deep purple/reds tend to overpower the more subdued ones, and since resin tends to continue to move for awhile, colors will keep blending until the resin thickens. You could let your resin become a bit thicker before pouring 😊 I do love the concept of pink with gray 😊

Its a cute little shelf. I also struggle with colors. I think the only thing I would have done differently was since your gray was so dark it was overpowering the pink maybe by adding a little white to it would have lightening it up to a softer gray. Then not stirred so much. It turned out cute 🥰

Tammy I struggle with choosing colors as well and it will prevent me from even making a piece because I just can't figure out the colors. The shelf is cute, I agree with you the colors could have been softer for a girl but once you put things on the shelf you wont notice as much!

I'm going to check them out when I have some free time and see which one I like the best. Its going to take some time to install them, go in and check it out, and uninstall to move on until one is found that works for me.

the glitter sides changed the look of the gray and looks fine its very lovely, she will not always be a baby lol she will maybe have this for many years. if you want to lighten gray just ad a lil whit to it. and colors are hard for me too, i want to use them all and know i cant, im bad at picking too many colors lol

Yes, yes, you see my struggle. I'm looking at all of my colors and then the gold leaf or inclusions...it all starts to run together in my head, and I can't choose anything for my project. Just a suggestion you should have added a little white to the gray to lighten it up. Next time if you choose the grey you can add some white to lighten it up
