Good picking, the core will not come out until it is turned/ unlocked 90 degrees. Another security feature a very good lock. Have worked on these and have a healthy respect for them.

We use these were I work...I have about 100 on my work patch...they last for about 20 years outside in the rain....and we are charged £150 each because the barrels/keys are specific to us.....but my Makita 18v Grinder cuts through that shackle like a hot knife through butter.

Something is wrong here! To remove the shackle, you have to drive out a pin from the body. Also the shackle is in 180°, with the long side down, where the hole for the pin is.

To remove the shackle mate all you need to do is take the core out which will then allow you to roll both ball bearings out and then the shackle will come out.
