No they didn’t actually, that’s definitely the sound of a vortec or procharger. You can hear the blow off valve on start up. The blower on the car from the video is a roots style and doesn’t sound anything like that.

When I rewatched this I finally noticed the track (Road Atlanta), the car, and I'm inclined to do the same in the sim rig! I find it odd that one of the first person POV was the reverse of Sector 3, and then car stops at Sector 1 the other way around, but that's beside the point, it's still awesome.
