“The pint in here was just over a fiver, very reasonable”….and this is why I’ve not been out to the pub in nearly ten years. I’ll be 40 in December and in my early to mid 20’s I could get pissed and a taxi back home for £20 all in, even now a crate and a munch costs about £25 and I have the luxury and comfort of my own home lol

There is an el jefes near me in GGW and another one at the other side of the city too. Rate their spicy margaritas but it is my favourite tipple. El cartel in Edinburgh is really good and I would say is better for Mexican. I’m excited to try the place with Chicago style pizza next time I’m over that way. I’ve been to Chicago a few times and the pizza pie there is just nothing like I’ve ever seen here. Thundercat in GGW have a Chicago style one but it’s not like the ones I had in Chicago. Be interesting to see if Edinburgh has a better one- they must do something better than us 😝

Hit some real ale. Tenants is sewer flush. Anywhere you go, chase the real ale. Best pints anywhere. Chasing cheap means Blackpool in yer head. Scottish pizza means deep fried, even to warm it up after the heat lamp. Insanity. And piss on yer chips.

Me and my mate tried everything except el jefes and makars. Great recommendations all around all though oink was very disappointing. Just dry pulled pork basically. Civerinos lasagna tho. Pfff wow that tomato sauce was so good. I’ve never eaten something with tomato sauce and thought that was the best thing. Wow Blown away. I’m trying my best to replicate it at home😅 from copenhagen btw and Big ups for this review

The best pint of Guiness in Edinburgh is definitely not where you'd expect it, its in the Western strip bar. Also for Sports bars you can't look past Footlights which has previously won Scottish Sports bar of the year multiple times.

In the summer you should try the Beach side eateries at Portobello. Civerino's have a shop down there called Civerino's Slice which is extremely popular. They sell the massive 1 slices of Pizza that you get in the US.
