1,000 Days: Revisiting the Mothers and Children of India

Shyamkali is one of many mothers who benefitted from the 1,000 Days, a movement focused on providing proper nutrition during the first 1,000 days of a child’s life. Living in India with her six daughters, Shyamkali attended nutrition classes and eagerly applied the lessons learned to give her daughters the best chance at a healthy life. Ten years later, we revisit Shyamkali and other mothers in India to see the longer-term impacts of the 1,000 Days movement on their lives.
