He’s right though. Old bullies like her ARE the reason ballroom is a mess. Kelly is the type of person who was NEVER that girl during her heydey, but she stuck around, and around, and around. And she kissed up to all the big names with the money. And all the new girls recognized her because she was at EVERY ball vying for attention and position. And now she’s FINALLY got a name for herself and a throne, but all the old gherls had that throne already and gave it up long ago. Now she wants to be the queen she never was during her prime. She and all the other old girls build their entire life around this, disrespect the real icons who paved the way, and bully the new girls she doesn’t like or tries to rule over them. That’s why some of these old girls fight to be “icons” so bad: this is all they have. Yes, John’s outfit was out there but, in some ways, that’s what fashion is: bold, daring, different. Out of respect alone, she could’ve let John walk, gave him his 10s, and then chose the person she preferred at the end. He wasn’t even checking for her. Instead, she was dragging him from the start, making a show of it, and being nasty. And at the end she still lost. He may not have won the category, but she was ready to filth, exposed as the insecure big bully she is, the new girls were introduced to a pioneering icon if they didn’t know who he was, and he still got the last laugh because here we are talking about him. Say what you want about Kelly, it her chop was justified. Everyone has been letting John Moschino through every year out of RESPECT, knowing good and well if anyone else came in presenting the outdated clothes he wears they’d be chopped.
