Keep going,Dr Benedict.Im Enllll.My older fellow compatriots generally express the view that we 'are finished' for a variety of reasons not least of which is mass uncontrolled,non meritocratic immigration and the degenerate behaviour of the ever increasing criminal class both home grown and foreign.What ever 'therapies' the Left apply will ultimately kill the patient in my view.So your work is an absolute beacon of sanity and true scholarship.I appreciate it.

@@BenedictBeckeld The Tragic View is the only realsitic view to my mind,Dr Ben.There's a typo in my original.It should say 'Im English'.At 66 Ive never felt so pessimistic about the state of the West and the utter ignorance expoused as valid views.Fight the good fight.We have no choice otherwise.

Ah, ok, I was wondering about that, actually. I've been to England many times and always enjoyed it, but yes, the problems you describe are of course real, and the U.S. is unfortunately following in England's footsteps on this front. (I have a chapter on England's descent into oikophobia in my book.) And quite right about the tragic view!

No, I was born and raised in Sweden. I also lived in a number of other countries as an adult, but I am now a naturalized citizen of the U.S., which I'm very happy to be.

@@BenedictBeckeld Interesting. I was born here in the United States and your accent is more American than mine. That's because I grew up in a Hasidic Jewish community which kept me entirely isolated from American life; that is until my father became an atheist.

Ah, an interesting story. I'm Jewish myself: I was modern orthodox, but went off the Derech as a teenager. Sometimes with Hasidic friends I speak German and they speak Yiddish, and we understand each other.
