1,000 Years of the Strangford - Portaferry Ferry by Portaferry and Strangford Trust

This video was created by Portaferry and Strangford Trust for the North Down Museum’s Commercial and Industrial Heritage of North Down and Ards project. The ancient ferry service plying between Portaferry and Strangford across the tidal Narrows at the entrance to Strangford Lough provides essential infrastructure that has supported activities such as commerce, agriculture, construction and tourism in the Upper Ards and Lecale, as well as social links between the two.
