No one has time to see if someone jumps while staging, staring at the light, your rpm, boost etc. You dont have time to stare at your oponnent possibly jump, then you can't watch the stager. Not super odd a stinger is super reliable already built for a stock turbo so it shouldn’t be as much work too twin turbo it plus doesn’t weigh very much

To me it looks like the warthog was actually pushing through the brakes, cause I don't think it has a trans brake so I think for the launch and for building boost it was just sitting on the brakes

I will say, the engine that went into the DeLorean was eventually used for a rally car in the Renault Alpine A310, and the designers actually did plan an upgraded version with a turbo, but the company went under before it could happen. A V6 twin-turbo is a *perfect* choice for a car that wanted to go fast.

orginal engine in the DeLorean is 90 degree v6. And the Alfa-Romeo-Giulia-(952)-29-V6-Bi-turbo-510HP-Quadrifoglio also has 90 degree engine. This one might fit in the chassi

The original engine was not supposed to be the Renault/Pugot 6 cyl. The one that was supposed to be in it was not ready in time for the production line and went over cost, so they settled on the Renault. There were 2 twin Turbos built near the end of production that were supposed to come out the next year, but we all know what happened to Jon DeLorean. Bottom line, the DMC3 was not what he wanted to be when it rolled out.

We have such a love-hate with the stinger down here in aus. Our police force have used Holden Commodores (the OG aus Chevvy SS for the 'muricans) for years but since the Holdens are no longer built in aus they were replaced by the stingers, so it's a touchy subject... can't deny that motor sounded sick though fuark

Probably unavoidable given the setup on the Warthog: automatic not set up for drag racing, so it won't have a trans brake, which means Alex has to hold the brakes at start in order to build revs and boost. It's still stupid fast, but not strictly a winner against the DeLorean creeping on the start like that. Probably trails by a couple feet in the 1000, if we could get a clean/even start out of it. Which is crazy impressive.

You can see the torque on the Warthog pulling him away unintentionally haha, such an awesome race and I'm so glad that was a close tie. Warthog defs earned it considering the specs and time spent on it but you can see that it was definitely a harsh line up because that DeLorean is literally built for speed compared to the offroad beast. Both builds are amazing!

Yeah he got the brake pedal down against the floor but when the boost climbs there's too much torque and the brakes just can't keep it still XD
