Salaam, hope you are well insha'Allah. The perspectival stage of the meaning crisis essentially discusses an individuals understanding of their role and purpose within society. The concept of grasping an idea and perspective of your 'being' in the wider societal context to feel a sense of meaning. Looking in depth at how religion allows us to make sense of the world around us. Which for example can range from our responsibilities within our small local communities to as daunting as our duties of activism on the global geopolitical stage. This outlook should influence the depth of change and revival within one's soul. How you learn, empower and develop yourself. Sheikhna talks about developing and utilising skills which are best suited to you as a good example - Get to a place where you have good wisdom and deep insight into what is an important skill so you can make the biggest significant impact and be a reason for change. For example: If humanity was a very intricate jigsaw puzzle then you must try to comprehend your mission as one of the many valuable pieces that play a part in it's completion and efficient success. This all feeds into the next and most deepest level - participatory knowledge. It's not just the surface knowledge, procedural skills or perspective but in fact as Sheikh put it "about the way you FEEL in the world and how you are FITTED to this reality." At the most existential level, this guides our sense of purpose and belonging in this duniya where sadly so many feel lost. These are just some of what I humbly took from the lecture, please forgive me for any shortcomings Insha'Allah.
