I’ve been keeping tabs on this kit since last year and pre-ordered it along with the Phoenix expansion pack. But after watching several reviews over the past few months, I find the overall performance of the kit quite displeasing. Yes, it does look great with its design, crisp details, and features. However, it should still be possible to achieve those effects or gimmicks without overcomplicating the engineering. Since it heavily compromises the kit’s structural integrity, it also makes the building experience significantly more frustrating due to fitting issues, and some pieces are prone to breaking if not handled cautiously. This may be due to quality control issues or perhaps a design flaw. The majority of the reviewers I’ve watched have recommended using glue on some parts, which is disappointing given today’s standards for independent plamo companies like In Era, Motor Nuclear, and SNAA. Even the companies that produced Red Ogre Kiyomori and Yanmie Annihilation delivered a decent building experience with sound structural integrity, considering those were also their first releases. In the end, I still like this kit because of its design. I just hope the company behind it does better next time.
