PRICE UPDATE:
After receiving a consultation, I learned that there are two options you can choose from:
1. less than one year commitment
2. at least year commitment
If you choose to stay less than a year, then the security deposit is ₩3,000,000 and the monthly rent is ₩1,500,000.
If you choose to stay at least a year, then the security deposit is ₩10,000,000 and the monthly rent is ₩1,250,000.
The person providing me the tour advised me to expect to pay an extra ₩150,000 to ₩200,000 every month for utilities. There's also a maintenance fee of ₩80,000 (if I remember correctly) every month.
Location: Gangnam District

1:45 i love what you said.... ❤ I hope all foreigners stop comparing prices in Korea with their country... & start thinking as Korean perspective. 😊

Another one in the books. Love your transparency, especially with the prices vs. space you get there. Gives people realistic expectations if they are planning on making that move. Although I’d really pay that just to have the experience of living there for a year😉

I love that you put up the rent in different currencies. Also not recording in wide lens did give the sense of how small that room was. I kept expecting to see another room attached before I finally realized that that was it. So expensive for what’s essentially a smaller hotel room. Yikes! Also glad that I found you on KZbin since I really enjoy your TikTok vids, but am on this app more.

I was wondering why you looked so familiar for someone that randomly popped up on my feed, but this episode confirmed that i remember you from 20-21 quarantine info updates. Thank you for all the informational updates back then! I’m glad you’re giving those who plan to visit or live in Korea with helpful infos with your new channel!

Anna, as always love the realness and transparency. Since so many people who watch come from different backgrounds and experiences, perception is everything. For instance, for a New Yorker like me, 1100 for a room that size in a modern building with the amenities in an area like Gangnam sounds like a great price. I wouldn't know any better if it wasn't for your honesty. Thank you

My sister's bachelor apartment in Halifax (Nova Scotia) is $1350 a month, its pretty much the same size and it doesn't include a washer/dryer or any utilities. Wild how a few years ago I would've never considered moving to a big city in a different country cause of the expense of living. But realistically even a small Canadian city is now matching the costs of big cities now. Plus food and gas are so expensive here.

Thank you for showing how compact the space was, even I could feel it was so compact just by the video and for a moment I hesitated to move to Korea because I'm used to our big house 😭

It's because this apartment is located in one of the more affluent areas of Seoul (Gangnam District). You can definitely find more spacious places above the Han River, but for the sake of convenience, I'm trying to find a place below the Han River >.
