Im catching up just had a spell there i was super tired everyday. Hard to sleep where i live sometimes. Im doing up 7 videos rn should be hitting the 4 videos per day limit again mybad nothing new lately too thank you for subscribing! Yeah i only see one 9200kv a green motor on AliExpress now, otherwise all 8200kv max. 8200kv would still be too fast. I never topoed it out on 2s 9200kv and never tried 3s until the current larger slower 2435 4500kv. 4500kv 3s tops out perfect for the truck stock form. Now with portals 4500kv is too slow, so i will get it going again 8200kv this time. A grub screw came loose on the front axle, so its okay just needs softer shocks. Thinking some 1/18 so ill test it out October here

Thank you! The 2spds come with a brush 370 with 2mm shaft. My first swap was a 50,000rpm 11.1v brush 370 and a 320amp cheap brush esc and it was doing 19mph in the snow lol. You can use a 2430- 2435. 2440 might be too long. Currently im using a 2435 4500kv goolrc motor. I think its a rebranded surpass hobby

This video has a 2430 9200kv motor that was so fast i never tried 3s. 2s was 20mph in high gear. I get the same speed off 4500kv 3s now to explain better

The 2spds use those brass pinions i keep buring off tho. I plan to try a MN78 MN82 style gearbox but will only be a 1spd. I need a MN78 replacement transmission with metal gears and the skid plate to mount it in the WPL frame. Looks to be same bolt pattern. Mn78 transmission has bigger output shafts too. Wpl transmission output shafts are 2mm, and MN is 3mm. Driveshafts are my next problem to fit this Frankenstein idea

Thank you! Wpl have brittle transmissions all use a tiny brass motor pinion, so MN is much stronger. Overall MN are much more durable and robust. The MN128 MN86 are true hobby grade high durability high quality

that thing sounds like a can with rocks in it, did you put any grease in that trans? If I were you I would go back and take that trans apart and put red -N- tacky from Lucas oil in there that should quiet those gears some.

I was gonna grease them with some high pressure temp red, but I put a new plastic gear two speed in her. No point running steel gears until we get a steel motor pinion. I'm just waiting on MN pullrod base seats from AliExpress

Hey. Bro, those links do not really help much. Originally, I was gonna build piece by piece. Then, searching for all this stuff got crazy. The web sites are so weak with the amount of info they provide about each item. I was thinking of the C24 Km kit. Bro, I want the same as set up as yours. What is the part number of that 9200? Where did you get the 9200? Which ESC? Where to get it? Which transmitter/receiver should i get? Where do I get it? Do I need a gyro? Where do I get these parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Today is payday and I want to start ordering parts.

Sorry about that I gotchu no worries. Do you have a AliExpress account like amazon? Anyway I know the brand names. Its impossible to find 9200kv nowadays as a surpass hobby, but theres green tesido motors 2430 9200kv. Id just get the Surpass Hobby BL2430 8200kv motor, Max Metal WPL plastic 2speed with 370 motor youll need the motor pinion to swap over, i suggest now any surpass hobby KK 25,35amp ESC for waterproof capability. Finally get the small digital 4ch TX4 2.4GHZ Transmitter and Waterproof Reciever for best bang for buck also. 👌

@@ChiefRickyRC Oh, Chief, I agree I'm a beginner. I still have training wheels on my New Bright. 😁 In reality, as far as I'm concerned is, shopping for the parts. All these websites furnish the most pathetically small amount of information about their products. Seriously. Pathetic. Even searching for this miniscule data is ridiculous. For example, I spent 153 bucks just at WPL and ended up without a battery(ies) and a freakin charger. hhhhhhh I emailed them about whether or not the km kit included the servo motor for the 2 speed. They write back to me saying, yes, it is included with the kit, but then they say that the RES 3 remote kit that I bought do not come with the battery and they sent me a link and I paid for the pair. Ok? The next day, they send me an email saying that they forgot(!) to mention the freakin charger. hhhhhh So, now there is a 3rd package that I'm waiting for from China. They did apologize for that and put the charger in the mail for free. Even trying to find parts to figure out what the hell it is with their 1 sentence descriptions. I had to use Google to search all 3 places that I bought crap from. Aliexpress, ebay and WPL. Their own search bars are absolutely pathetic also. Useless. Everything about them sucks. WPL keeps sending me emails wanting to know how I felt about my shopping experiences at their site. I get mad all over again when I think how much bad language that I'm going to use telling them of my delightful experience. I already mentioned a few things to Edward after he emailed me back one time. Computer parts give a crap description of their stuff, but these guys are worse. That's one of the reasons I keep harassing you for exact part numbers and descriptions, which I truly appreciate. I've built race car engines, computers and have been a mechanic all my life, so working on these things is simple. It's finding the parts that is the hard part. I think a good punishment for the crap designer of WPL would be to make him actually use the thing. He would get a gun and blow his brains out in frustration and shame even before I get my hands around his throat. Oh, that sister site of WPL is just as bad. The knockoff one. I'll have had my portal axles about 10 days before the kit shows. Then after I build the truck I'll have a few days before the batteries get here. Then a few more days before the charger gets here. Shake and Bake!

I can't find anymore 9200kv, but 8200kv will probably be better to get 50kmh. Also get wheel wieghts. I haven't tried them yet idk what ones I'd reccomend

Great question, it screws right in perfect. I got a few tips to help and here's the RickyRC instructions lol Real easy friend first un-screw and remove the 4 screws to split open the transmission. Tip the motor case servo side down as you open, so all the gears slide to one side for easier assembly. Next remove the stock 370 motor with two screws. Swap Pinon carefully just pry it off with a flat surfaced flathead not to scratch, or even better a rc pinion Puller(about $5 on AliExpress). Then reinstall. The hardest part is putting the transmission case back together i think. Here's the tip i wish someone told me and i keep forgetting to mention that each metal shaft in the gear case is taller, then the next shaft, so you can reassemble easy lining up pressing in one shaft at a time. Have bright light to help see them line up. Add a tad of 80,90w oil so the gears spin it around. It helps lube and cool the gears, but might leak a few drops here n there becareful nit to set on carpet lol. -Make sure the motor wires are at the top of the motor when installed -don't super glue the driveshafts set screw until you have the motor spinning the tires forward brake reverse correctly -youll have to super glue the wheel hexs to the metal Axle splines they'll probably slip now with more power. -Shred responsibly 🤘

Not here surprisingly i swear the motor don't get hot at all. It's a lot of power for the truck tho pretty easy to move it 👌 That's the thing people don't know they were just reading off paper. High KV is okay
