Love this Ferrari model with all the small details and it’s definitely worth every penny imo.

The exhaust shield is always on the gas fill side to protect the hot exhaust in case of spillage, or perhaps you knew that.

Just peeked at your unboxing video for a second. Noticed that you use a glove?! Are you a poor collector afraid to mar your models? Plenty of those poor souls. I own several CMC and Exoto models, and handle those with conviction and without wearing any gloves. And, if I scratch or mar my own model - well, those scratch are the evidence of my ownership, if you will. And, yes, I am still able to sell those, just for twenty bucks less or so. For me, the purpose of buying models is to enjoy them, and the models being properly 3-dimentional mini-sculptures, I enjoy handling them- checking various angles without silly or awkward twisting of my head. What cured me of my own phobia (awhile ago) is the fact that I own a solid-gold watch that I wear every day. And anyone who ever owned a proper Swiss gold watch, knows full well that an 18-karat gold is much softer than steel, and is easily scratched, especially by objects you never thought of previously, like cuff-links, or simply sliding a cuff on a hard table-top while you are typing... So, naturally, my uber-expensive gold watch started to accrue scratches and patina the very first day I wore it. And I wear it every day. But you know what? Once you get over your first scratch, the fear actually dissipates, and you start enjoying wearing it in earnest, without fear and inhibition. You no longer nurse it, so to speak. So, nowadays, seeing collectors handle their not-so-precious objects with gloves makes me entertained and giddy; it is analogous to them wearing a condom each time they have sex with their own wife. Which brings to mind another sage observation by a friend of mine from nearly twenty years ago, that having sex with a condom on is like trying to sniff flowers while wearing a gas mask. A pitiful task indeed! Cheers!

Jared Gorrell You know, I just re-read my own comment, and must say it comes across a bit less light-hearted and a little bit meaner than I intended it. I actually did not intend it to be mean at all! However, I did say what I intended to say- which is- you can treat your collectable only two possible ways- either as an owner i.e. without inhibition, or as a temporary care-taker handles an investment. That is what my contrasting of sex with wife versus sex with a girlfriend was meant to illustrate. Apologies if you found it in poor taste - it probably was. Yet, it is an effective analogy...Cheers!
