I know, it's a bold claim, best collection on Yoube. It's something I am proud of. You can see where I started with my 800pc collection video only a couple of years ago which now has over a million views.
This is 1000 1:18 scale cars!
Not, 900 Hotwheels sized cars. It's 1000 1:18 cars.
It's not 1000 mass produced cars, 'ya know, the Maisto and Bburagos you buy at Costco, not that there is anything wrong with that. A couple years ago, that was half my collection. I just wanted more focus on higher quality, lower production examples.
This is a collection of 1000 diverse and high quality cars. There are collections within the collection such as cop cars, movie cars, oddballs, supercars, concept cars, etc.
My cars consist of some of the best brands featuring over 200 Autoarts, CMC, Schuco, Hotwheels Elite, Otto, GT Spirit and many more.
I do have boxings for everything. You can see box storage shown in older full collection vidoes.

Always great to view the old annual yearly collection update. I’ll concur with you on certainly this collection being the most comprehensive diecast collection on KZbin. There was one guy from Brazil that had every single AutoArt signature manufactured in his collection a while back. But like so many in this game just disappeared away from social media. Wow unbelievable, man. As italian I'm really surprised to see even some not worldvide famous cars as Uno turbo, Thema 8.32 or Fiat Coupè 20v (my personal car). It's a mess cleaning my 60 1/18 models, I can't imagine how it can be to clean 1000 of them!!!

Nice. I handled the Dennis Erickson collection when it got to the auction house I worked at. Over 30,000 pieces. 1/18. 1/24 & 1/25, 1/43, 1/64, Diecast, promos, models. I took a ton of photos and I am sure they are still available somewhere online. It was a complete nightmare the way the company brought over the collection. There was no easy way to transport everything cleanly. I lucked into working the collection when the owner of the company found out that this sort of thing was my specialty (useless car knowledge coinciding with toy and collectibles knowledge) Diecasts of all types, Corgi and Dinky cars, promos, models, Hot Wheels, Matchbox. It took weeks just to match up boxes with cars. A ton of boxes with no cars found, a ton more cars with no boxes found. Most of the 1/18 scale car boxes had to be tossed. I am talking 100's of them. Either no car found, or they were on the lower end of 1/18 scale cars. Complicated to explain. I did my best with the time "allowed" 7 months total in everything. 6 months of auctions. A shame the way the stuff arrived at the warehouse. 100's of cars missing parts, 100's of parts where we never found the cars. I could go on and on about various things about the auctions. It was very cool to see all of the stuff, but very stressful. I took it personal and not just as a job. The owner appreciated the effort, the president of the company wanted it rushed along. A constant battle. A month after the auction I was gone. The other crazy thing is, from the stories/videos posted of his collection, I never saw a whole hell of a lot of it at the warehouse. I also heard when the owner went to look the estate over, there were a ton of Hot Wheels redlines. While we had a handful, it appears some of the church members helped themselves to what they wanted. Or at least that was what was speculated, the goofs who boxed everything up did not know one thing from another, and they thought the 1/18 diecasts where the big money makers (many higher end cars in 1/18, but plenty of basic run of the mill types)...as opposed to the promos or the Danbury mint cars. Again, Nice collection.

The older coupe is CMR vs the mid 80's GT Spirit. It would be hard to know who got the scale right out of the two of them or the later cars bodywork and wheels just inflate the stance and appearance.

Awesome collection, i like leaving mine on the base platforms that come with the models and spread out a few inches apart so i can see the side and back and inside the interiors of the cars even if that means having less room for more cars.

Do you keep your original packaging or ...? because storage also requires a lot of space. I've stored them all in the attic. I stick to one brand, namely Mercedes. I also wanted to start with American cars, but I have hardly any room left to display everything nicely in shop windows. You have a nice collection !!!

None will last the play of a two year old. Around age 5-6 my nephews became less destructive with them. 8 you are for sure safe, but give a test one from Costco at age 5 and see what happens. If it gets destroyed, it was a $15 gamble. Age two, look for a My First Tonka.

I see your collection is expansive and you have them broken down in types, etc. That scale is hard to display because the side view shows the car very nice. But you should try creating a themed backdrop or background diorama for some of them. Like put a few of your Limos in front of a hotel or casino, the police cars on a city street. Just an idea.

Amazing collection, but why go through the length to get rid of the maisto's and such to only have the more limited cars all out in the open to collect dust and bunched together. Looks like funding is not an issue here, so I strongly recommend the Ikea billy bookcases with glass doors to showcase this magnificent collection.

I have a group of some of his cars in my collection both cheap ,( Maisto, Bbururgo,Motormax Yat Ming Eagle ) , mid and high end mods) SunStar ,Welly, Ertl, Auto World , ,Hot Wheels,Ricko i,UT Greenlight,AutoArt, LS Collectors,Exoto,Kyosho, Chinese Dealer additions, GT Sprit, BOS etc ... mostly. Domestic Models ( antique classic muscle cards and contemporaries, concept models and TV movie ones as well and A few European model I want to get a few Japanese. Brand mods too in the future . In all I have 185 models all together. And it's taken me over 20 years to Get them .. lot of fun.... Crystal clear
