What a great interview. My older sister had the records of singers and groups of the day. Unfortunately, these folks are leaving us pretty fast.

They are indeed leaving us too quick! I was very lucky to interview Len for this.

This doc is much appreciated. I’m a fan of blue-eyed soul. The son of immigrants. I love this country🇺🇸

Well done documentary! Interesting to hear how when they recorded 1, 2, 3, on replay it sounded better than when they were performing it in studio, according to Barry.

Thank you! Len had many more stories, but I had to keep it to a short film.

4yrs's a long time when one's young. '61, 'The Bristol Stomp' was ear-candy, kids making music for kids. (Don't get me wrong, I still love it.) '65, '1,2,3' would've probably been a bit too adult for the 10yr olds of 1961, but was perfection at 14. Now, soon to be 60yrs later, realizing no one'll ever take Len Barry's place makes it even better

In 1965 I was 8 and this kid in Elementary school would dance and sing " Say It Loud I'm Black And I'm Proud " on top the desk. Then sang 123 very well. Len Barry is cool! ❤

No one's better than Len Barry. The Dovells were fools.
