We went when our son (Returning from his 5th combat tour as a Marine) and he was our guide- He had had the privilege to escort Other WWII Marine Veterans as they returned for the Pearl Harbor ceremony. It was so moving and brought tears to our eyes. He was in uniform, and it was so moving, and we could not have been prouder of our son and our country.

As a daughter of a navy veteran (Korean Conflict). I felt it was very important to take my son to Pearl Harbor. It was a surreal experience. It was my second trip to the Arizona Memorial but showing my teenaged son made me so much more emotional!😢

Kind of touching that the USS Missouri is placed next to the Arizona. Arizona represented America’s darkest day, While the Missouri represented the end of hostilities and age of peace

Thanks for posting this video. As a veteran, I've waited 35 years for a trip to Pearl Harbor, but sadly won't get to visit the USS Arizona Memorial. Be sure to book your USS Arizona reservations 3 weeks ahead of time!!! I was told you can book a few days in advance, but that is not true. I just tried to book for our trip in 13 days, and all slots are booked. Very sad, but at least we can visit the rest of the park. God bless our troops.

Everybody if they can should visit the USS Arizona Memorial . It will bring tears to your eyes .Somedays who can still see the oil coming up from the Arizona if the water is clear . Stand there and just think about what it was like on Dec.7th 1941 .

Just toured the Arizona memorial. I took my camera, but I couldn’t take any pictures. I was moved to tears and felt it incredibly inappropriate to photograph a gravesite. Even though the audio tour says not to throw coins onto the wreck, as I looked out over the southwest side, I saw some assholes had tossed quarters onto the gravesite. I love humanity, it’s the people I hate.

Hi, on this tour, how long is the Honolulu city part of the tour and how long do you get to spend at Pearl Harbour? Do you go altogether as a group at Pearl Harbour or can you go off by yourself and explore?

The Honolulu city part of the tour is a drive-through only. You'll go as a group to the Visitors Center then you're on your own. Next, you'll rejoin the group for the USS Arizona portion of the tour as you'll usually have the same timed tickets.

What's the price of the boat trip to Arizona Memorial ?

This one is the tour which includes roundtrip transportation, tour guide, Honolulu city tour, ticket, etc.. You can reserve the boat-only or the option with the audio tour via the government website recreation.gov

Tip - using fast forward works outside or inside a larger facility - doesn't work inside a tight museum. Almost got sea sick.

Thanks for the feedback Scott! Some people want fast forward because it's too slow, some people want it regular speed because it's more of a virtual tour 🤙🏼 It is a completely free video that took me about 8-hours (4 hours to film, 4 hours to edit). Working on putting together membership for those who want the full footage instead of just the quick bits.

Where can you buy the audio tour? Do they run out?

You can rent it at the Visitor's Center. It's first come, first served - I've never seen it run out as people are always coming & going. If there aren't any when you go, you might have to just wait till someone drops/returns theirs.
