This is not idolatry. People who claim such are even misinterpreting their own teachings. "Do not take unto thyself . . . " is about anger. Whatever trespass you imagine against yourself is 'NOT' reason enough to commit transgression. "unto thyself" . . . is that you? No. It's merely a thing. Whatever slight you may experience . . . is that reason enough to bring harm? There are far too many who have little respect for any other than themself. "Thus greet Narcissus. Greet Perseus."
