I was thinking she was doing things like say, absorbing poison or disease, holding it, and spitting it out later but realized that meant she had to store it like the ammo of a gun in a magazine in that case and could run out of 'ammo'. But its easier on the author to just say that once she has absorbed something, she can spit it out at any time so her harm ability is actually copying afflictions to replicate whenever she needs it. Which makes the ability much more powerful, and easier to write about.

In the knight commanders defense, this is a kid who had a father that pushed him and seemed to have little empathy. Almost as if thinking, "I had a rough life, I had no childhood I was pressed to work and train." or "All I do is work my son has no other right. He has no choices he must obey and carry out my will." or something to that effect. When you have no older brother, no father, no one explains things about relationships and you don't get to observe it either then you have no clue about dating, or being gaslighted or manipulated. His mother seemed to know something was wrong but didn't have the spine to stand up to her husband and allowed him to drive a wedge between herself and her son. Not everyone is born with people skills. Sure, he's gulible, but it's not entirely his fault.

No seriously it's getting hard to tell what is A.I. and what isn't. A lot of the artwork I am seeing is showing flaws that could be from A.I. production, and the A.I. voices just keep getting better and better. But yeah, there are little clues with speech patterns you can catch even in some of the good ones. The ones that have to translate as well seem to be the worst though. Twenty minutes of calling everyone on the screen He/Him even though there's 12 characters and 7 are female.

Some of this stuff is A.I. generated. And take 2 more things into account. Both China and S. Korea (especially S.K.) have people with government backing pushing entertainment as a way to ship cultural material overseas.
