Kills and Knockouts by Hannibal and Companions (shown battles only): This Episode: Hannibal: 214 Titus: 24 Melita: 4 Orikos: 8 Total Series: Hannibal: 747 Titus: 51 Melita: 14 Orikos: 8 A very good episode for the whole party this time around! Hannibal beat the same records he beat last episode - Highest Bodycount per episode and per battle respectively - and he did so with quite a distance. Titus joins him with only his third double digit episode. However instead of the 11 kills and K.O.s he managed in episodes 1 and 5 he more than doubles his usual amount per episode and nearly doubles his total (27 before this), so he can be more than happy with his performance. Orikos also had a very strong showing for the first time having more than 1 kill in an episode. And though all of his bodies came from the Battle of Desert Wolf maybe he can use this as motivation. Melita stayed Ms. Consistent, keeping close to her usual numbers but also having her new personal best.

@@braveheart2232 they can be powerful, but a shield wall is also slow. Give me 15 stout souls that ACTUALLY follow orders, and I will show you a dead shield wall. It's so micro intensive in the game. In real life too I suppose. Lol I look forward to getting the actual testudo one day. That's gonna be sick to see snaking it's way up to your besieged walls. Lol

The arc in this series feels very appropriate given its Carthage against Rome. The back and forth with battles is fun the watch beyond a typical steam roll. I feel like a focus on Iberia first is prudent because if you can weaken and subjugate them it will make most of Carthage secure by holding down that side.

i saved this one for morning. coffee and cookies and Surreal, what a start of day! advice -when fighting a small party, go for sending the troops instead of waiting in reserves. this way, your companions will go and fight = they'll gain experience. when fighting against a larger army, they'll usually go with a long line. the best answer is the square formation, rather than shield wall. as you pointed out yourself, the shield wall is better used for an approach -usually when ai has lots of ranged and they just camp and pepper you with shots. shield wall, advance, then switch to line short before the charge. when their line is on the advance, just wait for them with the square. your soldiers will use shields, don't worry. also, it would be great to find someone with good stewardship or/and engineering so that you can assign them as a governor of your city. stewardship will improve income, while engineering would improve project building. check Amma's stats, perhaps she could govern. also, governor's skill should focus on reducing garrison wages and stuff like that.

I was looking through the mod list for this playthrough and the improved garrisons mod peaked my interest. How does the AI handle this? Are their garrisons as strong as yours or is it just the player that has the ability to recruit higher quality garrison troops? Also does the AI tend to fill their garrisons with culturally appropriate troops or will I be met with 1000 Aserai defending a random Sturgian city? Because that would just be immersion breaking.

Hey Surreal great video as always, love the rp. As for potential nobles it’d be cool if there was a Scipio Aemilianus or Scipio Africanus the Younger in game. Not sure if that character already exist but it’d be nice to see Scipio’s son fighting alongside him against Hannibal, like in the third Punic war.

I see the notification that the Western Imperium, Southern Imperium and two what look like Carthaginians clans have all declared war on the Bacrid and I wonder if that's the clan Hannibal is part of. If it is, should Hannibal lighten the load of the current Barca Lord? I noted that the guests at Hannibal's wedding, congratulations by the way, were predominantly from Marqod's clan and very few Barca showed up. I am sure those who did will be the rocks upon which Hannibal will build the Barca clan, when it comes under his leadership. I remember you and those Battanian Longbows. Perhaps 100 Battanii bowmen can scythe down enemy armies, just the same.

I adore that they felt compelled to include slingers. They were far more easily built up and supplied than archers. I'd rather have 10k guys with slings, than 1000 bowmen with middling arrows.

I found that once you learn to smith the best throwing Pilum (a) its good at wrecking shields & soldiers (b0 it sells for 11k & only needs 2 wood & 2 iron to make

I've got question that keeps bugging me since your Vlandia campaign, why the color scheme in Bannerlord seem to be drab and dull? and not bright and striking like in Aserai and Battania's campaign. I mean if you want to simulate Antiquity, Isn't recently found that people at that time use variety of bright color? sorry, doesn't mean to be rude, just curious. No worries Addo! That's a great question. I usually use ReShade but chose not to for this series. Amusingly enough, some guy *really* hated my more saturated colors in those series. He made a series of posts about it and I thought that was funny. A lot of people prefer higher contrast and a much cooler aesthetic. Like you, I love bright and striking colors. I may try to fiddle with my ReShade sometime and return back to that! I also agree that if I want to simulate Antiquity, more color makes sense.

They DID use alot of colors, but they weren't particularly bright to the eye. The "drab" look is fairly proper, as it's juxtaposed by the sheen of metal. Their reds were more maroon, their blues more "baby" and less "navy", ya know? It wasn't easy to dye cloth back then, and impossible for then to REALLY color up leather, the predominate "bottom layer" of armors.

Well, i really like the campaign rn. But dont you think the incoming damage modifier is a bit excessive? Taking 1 or 2 damage when getting hit really takes out the challenge of being in battle
