We make it by canoe from Coon Rapids to Minneapolis. Being from St. Paul it was exciting to enter the twin cities metro area.

Awesome section of the trip. One question what's worse the Minnesota Mosquitoes or the Moths ?.... My guess is that it's the mosquitoes. Once in the Minneapolis area close down river make sure the water is safe to enjoy / swim in.

If it happened closer to where we were gonna be paddling we might hold off and wait on paddling but it should be okay. Downstream it should get better but I would try not to get in the water, and definitely not drink from it
