I started watching you back in the pandemic and that's when I learned all your hacks loved them. The baking soda hack is my favorite. I have been a Nail tech for since 1993 and just quit doing nails all together and then when I started watching your videos you encouraged and inspired me to start back but I kind of have forgotten how to do them so I had to get back into the rhythm so I didn't want anything smelling stinky or anything. So I did the baking soda hack. It worked perfect. Now I do poly gel. I do gel x tip-X and dip and so I'm going to try the baking soda hack again. I can't wait.

When I was a kid a full set was like $25. In in my 40s. Granted things have gotten more complex, but a one color set out the door was always around $30 or less. Fill ins were $8 at the shop at the mall 😂

Baking soda and CVS glue makes a strong acrylic barrier...we use it for repair. Never even thought to use it this way. Gonna give this a try cuz monomers and acrylic powder has failed me. I have a issue with acrylic lifting off in a week and then there's the cost for repair in addition to the installation. I'm one of the people they say won't be able to do fill ins cuz of cancer...some reason they just won't stay. So I'm gonna try this. If it doesn't work...at least I'm not out of anything...or paying a lot of money for constant repeated applications.

I’m sorry you have cancer🌸 I pray for strength and endurance for you🌷I lost my only sister to cancer in 2021, I put nails on her and they wouldn’t stay for some reason her nails were kind of oily. She was special needs and she always wanted to look good with her nails and makeup etc.🌺🌺🌺🌺

I appreciate you acknowledging that some of us aren’t able to get our nails done anymore due to the cost! Ad a single mom of 4 and one having additional needs, I certainly cannot or will not spend that kind of money on a luxery item which is what getting my nails done at these prices for sure would be !!! I would love to better about myself and get my nails and hair done I just can’t anymore. I wonder if the fact so many people started doing their own nails at home during COVID and just kept doing it has made clients harder to get and therefore caused a price increase.
