Leonard Miller scored a game-high 31 points, including the deciding basket in a 122-118 comeback win over the Texas Legends on Friday night at the Comerica Center.
Iowa (3-9) snapped a three-game losing streak as it starts a four-game road trip. The Wolves and Texas (6-5) will play again Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. inside the Comerica Center.
On assignment from Minnesota, Miller’s tip-in with 1:15 put Iowa up 119-118 and followed fellow assignee Wendell Moore Jr.’s finger roll. After Miller’s tip-in, Iowa forced the Legends to miss their final four shot attempts and commit one turnover. D.J. Carton, who scored 16 points, iced the with a pair of free throws with one second left. Iowa trailed by as many as 14, including by 13 late in the third quarter.
Josh Minott, also on assignment from Minnesota, posted 20 points and eight rebounds while Moore Jr. finished with 14 points and six assists off the bench. Lance Stephenson scored 17 and handed out six assists. Miller pulled down 13 rebounds.
