Dukey, PS-You played the last hand like a pro! You had so many outs on the river it made the all-in a solid play. I had a similar hand/play that turned into a big burn for me. At a 5-10 table with about $2500, I have A-Q of hearts in position. 1st guy bets, second guy raises to $100, I just call and 1st player calls. Flop is 3-4-4 with two hearts. 1st guy checks, 2nd guy bets $125, I play slow and call then the 1st seat raises to $500. Hmmm. 2nd seat fold and now I got to think. The 1st seat was having a good night and had 2x my stack. I start thinking if my hands worth a $500 call it better be worth much more on the next to streets. So instead of letting him be the aggressor I rip it all in for about $1,700. He thinks for awhile and calls. The turn is no help with 3-4-4-10c but the river is one of my money cards, 3h-4h-4s-10c-5h…BANG giving me the A heart flush. I’m getting ready to stack the chips until my opponent shows 5-5. Unbelievable…who call a $1,200 raise with a lousy pair of 5’s….Ouch!

On the T-5-3 hand, I would size up the flop because 1) You are extremely deep and want to maximize value with QQ while the runout is good, since there won't be many times you can get in 300BB across turn and river. 2) When he opens large then calls a 3bet, his range is going to be alot of pocket pairs (exluding AA-QQ), lots of a-x hands and other (mostly) suited broadways. While the small size may get them to peel with a hand like qjs to one bet, you want to maximize on the flop when they have an inelastic hand like 66-99 (or even jacks) which almost certainly wont fold to one bet. Additionally, you hold a very strong overpair advantage and overpairs are your main value range, so your sizing should reflect this. It's very useful to put opponents range in buckets (PP below the ten, suited broadways, ace-x) and then ask what you want to accomplish with your hand

16:17 I think on the 765A5 hand, you should be implementing an “overbet after check” strategy. Basically after the flop goes check check (standard on that board), we want to use big sizes on the turn and river with our bluffs and our value. After the flop and turn check, we know the V has some sort of showdown value hand. He’s not folding to any turn bet, so we want to go BIG. I’m thinking 1.5x or 2x pot. Then River is a decent card since it really only improves A5s or 65s, which I think he bets on the turn himself. So our River sizing for this bluff should probably be all in and I guarantee V folds most everything. Interesting spot tho

Great video, I think that the only thing with the ace high hand is that I don’t know what over pairs you would necessarily play exactly like that , betting 75 on the flop is pretty small then pot size jamming the turn, I think going 125 is good because then you really rep the over pair, and when you jam the turn it looks less suspicious, only problem is that when you beg 125 and he calls, he may also be less likely to fold a jam given the price, either way great playing and good vid !

Dukey. On that QTcc hand we gotta be piling in the money. On the turn we should be over betting 150 if he calls just jamming every river to get his entire range to fold. Maybe once in a great while he will crush us but when we do 50 then 150 its just mever gonna get that middling 88-JJ part to fold

Hmm. I think I would like to see you mix in some 3-bets with mid suited connectors in some exploitative spots. I’m only 10 min into this video… so you might do it in a few minutes here… but ya gotta mix it up for the viewers to see you get saucy. I also liked a $600 raise on river when you have the 444…. But ya gotta mix that tight image so it might work there.

You had 30% equity against any hand there. a jam is the only option you literally realize your equity everytime they call. If you check back you don't get paid on that ace.

Dude, those home games you play in are so soft it's crazy. I'd absolutely destroy those games. Poker games up here in Canada are way harder. Great job folding the queens & the read there. That was definitely an experienced play. Reminds me of a time I folded pocket kings to a C-bet when I absolutely knew the dude had aces in a home game. The guy was a super tight player; an older Chinese doctor & I just knew for sure somehow that it was aces. When I open folded my kings and was saying out loud he's got aces, everyone was going a bit nuts off the play, people saying they didn't think I was that strong. The guy was nice enough to say "for you, I'll show" and showed his pocket aces. He thought I was a pretty good player & we had respect between us. Everyone went nuts & people were telling this story at a couple home games after. Some of them just couldn't believe I could get away from the hand so cheaply when they would have gone broke. Sometimes you just gotta go with your read.
