When I was at Uni in Cardiff I studied for my degree in industrial design, our first product was a flat pack lamp,. Where am I going with this ? Our instructor pointed out in the tuition that one of the most difficult thing to control was light “ it gets everywhere!” Was his comment. You’ve mastered that and yes I would class your scale aircraft as art you’ve taken a mass produced item and injected personality and feeling into it. WELL DONE.

Thanks buddy, I always like to try something different, and the foil took the paint beautifully, still needed to use hairspray to get it this worn,, didn't think I'd need it.

Plenty worn out. But a IJA or IJN AC could look like that one day out of the factory. So was this kit a little easier than the Zoukei 51? I think your idea to use the BMF worked out perfect. Any peel up during the painting / weathering process? Another gem. Congrats!

This was a bit easier than the P51, q lot more space in the fuselage, I think with the radial engine aircraft, rather than a flat cylinder, you have more elbow room. Foil took the paint beautifully, and I did still have to use hairspray to get it to look this worn,, didn't expect to,,no issues with curling,.though I did put the paint on using iso, so it would go down real dry,,once the chipping had dried, I filtered in the Mr weathering , sandy wash and ground brown, enamel colours, no problems. I'm currently working on the old Revell F4U in 32nd,,,it's no Zoukie kit,,,no lights in this one, just a bit of fun,,then something different,,a 1/32 Red Arrow,, I'll have to hide all of my weathering gear for that one.

Thanks again Sean,,foiling turned out good, didn't get any curling and it's still laying flat,,did have to use hairspray though, which was a surprise,,,enamel washes didn't effect the chipping on the foil either, definitely gonna do it again on maybe a Starfighter, or an E E Lightning.

Thanks man,,you were right about the landing gear,, especially the rear one,,wow, Wasn't sure how the foil would turn out, but it held together, no curl up, no air bubbles,,I did paint it using Tamiya paints and isopropyl, so it would go down as dry as possible.
