you don't need indicators ... they are not accurate and they are always a step behind the real price action. All you need to understand is market structure and price action. how they both develop during sessions and timeframes .

If you used a good momentum indicator, e.g. SMI, you probably wouldn't need to wait for an engulfing candle. Using a lower time frame chart in parallel would help much as well.
