That ic is quite hard to find, i can order it form China but with the same price i can get pre-made step up 0.9 to 5v 0.5a module

HT7750A just too hard to find, need another circuit with another option also with 500ma output!

200 mA, as it says in the video, or in the datasheet of the HT7750A

Dear Diorama, I repeat the circuit but is not boosting. I used L7805 as voltage regulator. This circuit can work only with HT7750A?
@melonswag4203 жыл бұрын
the 7805 only steps down voltages above 5 volts to 5 volts
@gonzalomeabe52563 жыл бұрын
The L7805 is a linear regulator, and the HT7750A is a switching step up converter, so, they're different components, and you can't switch them. Maybe you can find another step up converter if you can't find this one in particular, but definitely you can't replace it with a linear regulator

Can i use 6v solar panel to regulate 5v output???

yes u can

I wouldn’t. This thing is a boost converter, it specialises in increasing voltage. If you want to decrease voltage you can either use a (low dropout) linear regulator, or a buck converter. Search eBay or AliExpress for buck converters that suit the kind of current you’re after. If it’s below 500mA or so then a linear regulator will probably suit the occasion just fine. The title says “1-4.5V to 5V”, meaning it isn’t designed to run over that. Common boost converters are physically incapable of decreasing voltage due to their topology. If you put 6V across it, best case it would just output the full 6V (minus a diode drop). Worst case the switching controller would short it to ground and overheat and let the smoke out.
