So awesome how reliably consistent your car performs off and on the track. Really an awesome build bru well done 👍. Built car that leaves home races over and over and back home is a special car. Look at the Brussels Skyline GTX been doing it for years and still capable today. Your mk2 GTI is in that bracket of a special car 👍to add also fully brand built as if its factory👌 that's something to be proud of.

Appreciate it Dino. That was the goal with this car. A street car that can be raced hard without missing a beat and then drive home like nothing has happened. 😅 Thanks for the kind words. 🙌🏽

Great Video You make me want to bring my E46 330d Won't miss a Video of yours Bro You will hit those 13s again soon. Your car is a drivers car take skills to master. 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🔜🔜
@lowdl2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ronan. You should bring the 330d out. They do really well at the track. And yes, the car is tricky to drive. Eventually I’ll get a good grip of it and be able to run mostly consistent times.
@taswellbarthus40322 жыл бұрын
Epic video! Your times are definitely going to drop as you work on traction 👌
@lowdl2 жыл бұрын
I’m not so sure about that after that last run in the left lane. Traction wasn’t much better. I just had too much power in it after the first few runs traction dwindled. I should have turned the power down sooner instead of just trying to make it work. But I’ll find what works and how to adjust my setup based on grip levels. It will take some time.

Hey Lorenzo, as a racing driver I just want to compliment you on your quick shifts. If you want to reduce slip on pull away, try reducing tire pressure, or get a softer slick tire. What helps with fwd slip is less weigh at the rear of the car. Good Luck!
@lowdl2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Stephan! Appreciate it. I need to get a softer tyre. I’m currently on R888R’s. For this event I didn’t remove weight from the rear, I’ll do that for the next event. Appreciate the input 🙌🏽

Log your intake temps per run aswell, you might have heat soak? You had alot of pulls, intake temp might be where the car is getting suffocated? I love the reliability of you car, run after run, after run, she does it with only traction issues🤣🤣🤣
@lowdl2 жыл бұрын
Intake temps was consistent. High but consistent. Lol. It was around 56-60 for the most part and dropped to 40-44 later the night. I need wmi to get the temps a lot lower. I made peak power with the intake temps being around 40 degrees so it’s definitely down on power for most of the evening. Being able to beat on the car all night is the best. At robot racing I usually have about 10-14 runs for the night 😂 Traction will always be a problem. I just need to make it less of a problem. 🙈
@road_2_pow_r2 жыл бұрын
@@lowdl I really enjoy the channel and its format, its so relatable. i feel like im one of your bra's watching and chatting with you guys as you progress. my favorite is POV racing, with some external shots. i cant get enough.... 😀😀for example, let lunch 3500rpm, ok lets try 4000rpm, no that was too much spinning, saying you want to try lunch control because the car bogs...i really like those comments while you racing

Really appreciate the feedback. I would love to add more external shots to the videos to give that outside perspective but that will come in due time. @lowdl2 жыл бұрын
😂 It’s a quick ballade for sure but his times is “normal” for a car making 150+ on a full slick. He was running 13.5’s. Not sure if he beat that on our run. But I was so slow that it looked like he was running a 10 😂

It’s the only track we’ve got locally so I’ll try my best at it. Right now it’s just seat time and trying to improve as a driver and car setup. There’s a lot of guys that run really fast times at the same track so I’ve just gotta step up my game. I’ll need to race at MSA to try and get the best from Killarney but until then, its fun racing for fun.
