There's a Basement announcement at Block 423A/425A Northshore. These 2 blocks opened very recently, within the past week.

I don’t think Basement announcements exist for these sets YET… That’s because the ones in Northshore is probably one of the earliest to be installed. Soon we may hear Basement announcements, depending on where they are installed.

@@ZHD1987E so the technician has to go there and update the lift controller firmware to add the basement voiceover? Because this is a new brand new voiceover?

0:11 Quite a funny Hitachi Elevator as this Hitachi Lift is in Block 401A Northshore. It has a rectangular display and its window design is a H.

Hitachis were actually one of the earliest lift manufacturers for HDB and JTC in the early 1960s until the mid 1970s, albeit under a distributor at that time (Marubeni corporation). The last ones were wiped out by SERS a decade ago. After that Fujitec became the sole contractor until the 1990s. Hitachi did not begin bidding for hdb contracts until fairly recently, and it took them a few tries before being successful. A few years from now we should see 50 storey lifts and even stretcher ones from them in hdb lifts...

This is Hitachi LCA MRL max 40 stops, the other Hitachi in Singapore is OUGON/OUGSN MRL or VFI MR that uses Thai lady voice. LCA does not use the Thai voice.
