My partner bought a pair of their shorts back when they were $80. It's still pricey, but we justified it because it's supporting a small business and locally made/no sweatshops and more environmentally friendly... Well, after maybe skating them twice they started to rip on the back pocket, so definitely not even worth the $80, much less $1400. Yikes

I buy my pants at the army surplus. Brand new pair of Camo BDUs are 40 bucks. A pair of olive cargos are also around the same price. If Im buying denim, I will usually get a pair of Levis at around the 50-60 dollar range. But thats the highest i will go when paying for clothes.

Not necessarily. While I personally wouldn't like paying more than $60 for pants, some of the more expensive jeans by skate companies are pretty justified imo, considering the quality materials you need to source, the cost of limited runs vs mass production will be pricier per unit, and if you're paying who's making the pants/jeans a fair wage, and then you need to possibly import them once they are made, it makes sense that you'd have to charge over $60-90+ to make a profit margin that is worth even making and selling them in the first place. Polar pants for example are expensive, but they're imported, made by people with fair wages, etc. Yes it's expensive, but I wouldn't consider them "price gouging" since it makes sense they're a little more expensive to produce than other pants you'd see stocked. I own 0 pairs of polar pants for the record haha I typically wear Dickies or pants I find on sale

Little Update, they are now 1/10th the price, at exactly as much as a pair of big boys. Whether the quality is there or not, who knows? After the Cariuma drama, Steve Berra defending this shit only for the company itself to back peddle already shows a hilariously large effort to scam the skating industry in hopes of a get rich quick scheme.
