2024 has been a bad year for decals. Having issues with my Tamiya F-14B right now with them not sticking 🙄

I bought several sets of CAM Decals off of eBay despite them having a warning of age and possible cracking (I have not seen such a visible cautionary note on others). I have not used them so I can't speak to any problems. However, after seeing your issues I may relegate them to the storage drawer. Decaling is my most hated part of modeling because of the "unforeseen problems" so far down the line. I have a 1/48 Tamiya Wildcat that I have not revisited because of the Decals... It was my best paint job up to that point and then... Anyhow, Great recovery on your Prowler! -Rob

It is such a gamble buying decals on eBay. You don’t know how they are stored. Whether they are in a temperature controlled environment or just thrown in a hot attic for several years. But these CAM were crap.

That sucks that you had to do some stripping because of bad decals. I have a few sets of Cam decals, but haven’t used them. Plane looks much better than the previous scheme. Beautiful build so far….

You had a lot of resolve to keep going after that mess with the decals. Would have been a tragedy to see all of the time & effort you’ve put in so far get ruined at almost the last step
