Just landed it for the first time a few days ago but very inconsistent, but the tip at 3:56 of having the TH slightly above the yoyo seems to have unlocked some consistency for me. Nice video :)

Glad to hear it! The nice thing with a hook is that once you land it a few times, it gets a lot more consistent pretty quickly. Keep at it!

The problem im having is when i accidentally land a 1.5 mount and sometimes the new loop goes around my hand instead on the finger

I am not sure about the accidental 1.5 mount. My guess is it is your mind trying to go to something it is familiar with. The loop going around your hand is honestly just practice. The more you try the trick the more honed in the loop and eventually hook will be. The fact that you are getting a loop at all shows that you have gotten the idea of the trick, now it is just doing slight adjustments til you eventually land it. You are so close!
