Buy a bronco to drive around a city. Lame. The engine is fine for what it is. Good power, good mileage. We'll see how they hold up. Time will tell. But drive it like a normal human being, change oil regularly, get out of the dam city and see how it is. Nice little ride

I mean... Why? Its an 8 speed, if the gearbox does its job properly, its still a 180hp engine. Thats more than enough for commuting, some fun and gravel roads. And if you still think that in 2021,an engine is bad just because its small then, buddy youve kissed a few years.

@Jules 1. That is an issue specific to the first version of that engine. Its also a known issue and can be dealt with beforehand. 2. This 1.5l ecoboost in its latest generation is known for having little to no issues with pretty good mileage. This generation is used since roughly 2015. 3. The 'small engines are bad downsizing crap' statement is very much obsolete at this point, VW's 1.0 TSi, fords 1.0 Ecoboost, renaults TCe90 and Fiats basically everything have long proven that wrong. As long as people dont cheap out on using the 5w20 and go for walmart 10w40 cause its 'cheaper and just as good'-bullshit and treat it like a turbocharged car, not like a throwaway vehicle, the engine is not going to be an issue in the bronco.

@Jules the engine is good for 300 hp on stock internals with no issues. 180hp is nothing on this engine. In Europe they already tuned the shit out of it. And until now it is good for 50k miles. No catastrophic engine failures known until know. You guys brains live in 1970.

@Jules The engine is out since 2017 in different models. from naturally aspirated 123 hp, over 150 and 180 hp turbo up to the fiesta ST as 200hp turbo.
