Especially the A-Team with the powder blue Pontiac in the first scene! Fun fact: Many of the 'supporting role' vehicles in the first few seasons of the A-Team, especially cars that were crashed, were full-size sedans painted a powder blue color. This is because whoever managed the fleet for the show was picking cars up secondhand from the State of California fleet, likely on the cheap. What you were seeing were former state service vehicles getting wrecked for the first few seasons until the budget allowed a better fleet.

The dirt has to be very very loose and very very dry. It also has to be placed perfectly in order for it to go flying off in the right way. Think of it as baseball dirt, the baseball field is flat and there isnt a big hill on it so it would be difficult to do it on a baseball field. When you ,mkve your feet very fast on a baseball field you tend to have dirt clouds that rise up. the only example i know where this works well is Sliding into a base. (as i play baseball) big dirt clouds will come up. Youve also got to get the right speed, launch angle to get it perfect. Its also very very hard to do that with rubber tires unless there was some sort of object that was stuck on them where they would slide on the dirt. Just my view of it
