In the last 10 months, over last season and this season, Justin Portillo has been suspended 32 games. He shouldn’t be playing anymore. Constantly suspended for leaving the bench. Coach either supports it or lacks power to control it. We all know coach supports it.

For the most part beers afterwards unless something considered over the line dirty was done. This one would be the latter but most likely nothing off the ice but emotions were high enough it would be a possibility. Back in the day we had a senior game line brawl then it turned into a bar brawl when the other team showed up to bar we were out at afterwards. Police, knockouts and ambulances involved. I got my back cut up by a guys girlfriend as he started a fight with me on the dance floor.

Sorry to hear about your back though... sounds about right, but surprised lve never heard of a big case/scene involving this, although it does sound familiar, I might have heard of some bar brawls in the 90s involving hockey guys and just totally forgot until now. I do think most professionals have too much to lose with a lengthy suspension to get involved in off ice crap. Kind of reeks of amateurism but there is an interesting interview on spittin chicklets with a retired Islander tough guy who was going to jump Dale Hunter after hit on Pierre Turgeon in 90’s playoffs. It has him hiding in a closet getting ready to jump him when Al Arbour the legendary coach catches him and makes him stop. Very entertaining story but I can’t remember who the player was maybe someone can help me on here remember.
