I would hazard a guess that it's because it clashes with the desired setting, and the aesthetic they're going for. I think that's predominantly because Japanese culture romances their long martial history, up until WW2 because they were on the wrong side, in addition to their failed imperial ambitions, so their education and entertainment neglect guns in general. Their restoration period would be so interesting to emulate in one of these, but I haven't seen it used. If this isn't japense I take back everything I just said and instead I would say that generally it's easier to romance sword, magic and ect... Especially because it older history that isn't as loaded with emotional weight of modern warfare. Either way its a lot of wasted potential.

If it was used in history and what not, then by all means the gun should be the most powerful, it’s a modern weapon that was able to kill and out match any old relic, thus by its nature it should be able to beat any old weapon since it’s the very embodiment of human innovations towards weapons to be made for killing, that needs no natural born talent to use, for anyone can use it. I’m honestly just making this up since this is a manwha and so longs as it sounds cool and op anything can work, the limits of a smart character is how smart the author is

Read this manhwa before but rewatched it here. Really good narration. My only gripe is the frequent ads popping up, which feels like it shows up every 5-10mins. Looking forward to the next part! Hopefully the story would be farther along by then.
