people doubting the players are bronze are forgetting that even if the GM has 2x, 2.25x, 2.5x the stats, it's still just 1 player to focus on. Target prioritization and just keeping track of who's where/doing what is a huge part of good game sense. So while these bronze may look "good", it's because there's legit less to think about. ANYWAYS, Eskay ate that. Good shit.

Thats actually very true. Most bronze games look like headless chickens, so when you communicate a little bit and focus only 1 target, the gameplay will be better

I'm sure at least some of the people typing it were trolling but like saying an ana isnt bronze becaues they hit an anti is the dumbest thing ive ever read, all shes doing is clicking E every time its off cooldown and theres only one target so she hits it most of the time

They also strategized SUPER well compared to a lot of the other GMvBronze - they found a comp and then legit deathballed Eskay. They played incredibly tightly together so she couldnt dive for a pick without getting punished somehow. Some of the best play I’ve seen from the series.

Change to hybrid map was a bigger nerf than the stats change. Control is best suited to these things imo

Yea. Kings row has alot less close quarter areas to LOS and make your 1v1s especially at first point. Lijiang tower has alot more cover to play around and make 1v1 happen at close range. Wouldnt be surprised if eskay lost at 2.5 stats in kings row. Also as long as theu play hard counters, its hard for a lucio to do anything. If they played Zarya as tank to help zen peel, it would have destroyed most of eskays game plan.

i think it’s that and less of the stats change and the enemy changes. ana’s anti is HUGE. she can heal herself, pretty quickly, but with anti it completely throws off what she does best, which is jump in the middle of them, and kill them while they can barely hit her so she also heals, the anti stops this entirely. the sleep also isn’t a bad util to have but the anti nade was kind of the unsung hero of this challenge…

I love this series for this very reason, players who aren't familiar with the potential of some heroes are introduced to how great players utilize their abilities. out of the thousands that are gonna watch this video, some new players are gonna see this and find themselves playing lucio more.

@@carndela7032 That's why Top 500 playstyle doesn't always work for lower ranks. Higher ranks know how to keep themselves alive which let's them pull off risky moves. A low elo soldier going for the deep flank probably isn't going to do much if the rest of the team isn't capable of surviving.

I’m glad people get to see what “reddit lucio” is actually about: finding a pick and going deep for it and then getting back out; obviously way harder without other teammates taking aggro. The thing to know about Lucio play is that like Sombra, you need awareness of the entire map and also plan ahead with what you’re going to do. You need to know where your next wall is going to be for Lucio otherwise you’ll end up on the floor and dead. It’s a lot to keep track of but incredibly fun once it becomes natural.

Basically. I'm sitting here like, "Nice, that was clean." or "Under the map, respect." While my buddy sent me the video like, "DUDE LOOK AT THE MOVES." Yeah... that's why I keep saying I'm working on getting even better at Lucio movement. Flying across the map is insane, but learning either by accident, practice, or from someone else a new spot to touchdown in a rollout? Makes the game that much more fun.

Eskay's movement is so insanely strategic and properly executed. Even in the midst of OT in a 1v5 while anti'd and discorded she STILL had flawless movement and was able to stall so much longer than I thought was going to be possible. This was one of the most impressive 1v5's I've seen from this series :D

I think the big difference here with 2.5* stats vs anything lower were the damage breakpoints. As long as Eskay secures 4 shots of her primary, its a squishy guarenteed to be dead. That plus the team comp switches made the later rounds much closer. Still amazing gameplay throughout.
