I spent years throwing up and depriving and starving. Grateful I found this way of eating finally at 52

I found this way of eating later on in life as well! In my mid-40s. So glad you found it too.

Shaune, your story so resonates with me. I also went to WW at 12 with my Mom and did all the crazy diets till age 53 when I found the Starch Solution. So grateful to have found longterm success and wellness. Yeah for us!

Me too! From 12 to 54 my life was a living hell with binge-eating and dieting. I found peace and am slim for life now on a healthy WFPB way of eating. And I eat lots! My friends can't believe how much! Best wishes x

It’s great to know that I was not the only one struggling in this way! Sometimes we think that we are the only ones going through only to learn that that’s not the case. So glad both of you have found success!

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 thank you for sharing your story❤ I was a makeup artist as well sales and training very very stressful who would believe it right? I weighed and lost about the same. Had to remove myself from not stress and started Whole Food plant-based when year ago. Now my lupus is in remission, my medicines are cut in half and my cholesterol is as well!

Great to hear her story, my obesity was mostly related to food addiction. I am allergic to so many different foods that I almost never eat at a fast food restaurant, my favourite place to eat, was at home alone in front of the TV being single, there was reallynobody to hide it from either

Great interview and well done Shaune! However I really want to know what she eats for meals, not general plant based eating which I would think we all do if we are watching this. I have been plant based, little oil, mainly tofu and beans but I cannot lose any weight, never have - I would like to know why? Do I eat too much of this, not enough of that, etc. whilst general is great I really need specifics as to why I am not a thin person eating two plant based meals a day??

Hey there! I’m a medical doctor and when I see my patients unable to lose weight after eliminating animal-products, we work on eliminating ALL processed foods including ALL oils, because for some people, even a little oil can make weight-loss impossible. Also, tofu is comparatively high-fat when compared to other plants, so I wouldn’t eat that very often if you’re trying to lose weight. The other reason people fail with weight-loss on a plant-based diet are nuts and seeds. They’re extremely high in calories. Avoid them in the beginning until you’ve lost some weight, and then once you reach your goal, try and see whether you can eat a couple of nuts a day and keep at your goal weight.
