If I knew I was going to win a billion dollars on Friday, the things which might bother me, today, otherwise, would hold little significance - IF I knew I was going to win a billion dollars on Friday. Our lives in comparison to eternity, without sickness, sin or death, cannot be bought with trillions of dollars. Our lives in eternity are much more worthy than winning a mere billion dollars on Friday, here. That's how I live - thankful for what awaits, humbly content with anything which happens here, which can in no way, take away what God has promised for those who have put their trust in him...

You can use the same argument for doing more in every case. If we only have this life then we better get stuff done! If we have eternity after judgement, then we better get stuff done! However, the concern with "here and now" is this: John 1:46 “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip. 47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” Jesus would eventually say "You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree." It is the same for the "Thomas's" of John 20:20. Some of us call B.S. until God does what he says. We believe Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of the Living God; but we have had too many broken promises for blind faith.

Can you please highlight and explain where does 1 Corinthians 15 meet with the other part of the scriptures that says: King JESUS is sitting on the right hand of his father, and he is waiting for us, to make his enemies a resting place for his feet. So who are his enemies? Satan and the fallen angels? And how must we achieve that?
