My dad is a professionnal percussionist.. all I can say is I heard him play again and again and again and again and again his stuff... until he finaly reached his goal. Now he practices depending on what his parts are, sometimes he still does 8 hours a day of practice but its not always like that. He loves so much what he does that he says till my body cant take it, I wont retire. My dad is one of the very lucky who earn a decent pay out of music and being aware of that situation in general with musicians having to teach in most cases.. it kind of played on my dedication to it. I could have make it but talent is only something like 10-20%... necessary but its mostly hard work and also working in the right direction that pays off... i have met young "superstars" when i was a teenager studying at music conservatory.. but they all thaught they were the best in the world and with that mentality you cant get a position in a prestigious orchestra.

Love how you sleep with a snare drum!! I am a musician as well, but the drums were never an instrument that I was drawn to. I play 14 instruments. Mostly wind instruments, like the Scottish Bagpipes, Uilleann Bagpipes, tin whistle, clarinet, base and alto clarinets, piano, church organ, Irish Harp, Wurlitzer, Bodhra, accordion, bugle, and finally trumpet. I am blown away on your stick skills. Leave me totally speechless. Thank you for your videos. Keep up the good work you are doing!!!

1:58 when you're so high you try to 'puff, puff, pass' with your own poster. 😂 (Yes, I realize it was just a joke)
Podrías hablar un dia de como tienes montado e insonorizado el estudio? Sería muy interesante

You showed part of your life (maybe all) and all I can see is: dedication, passion and a solitude. Somebody said in the comments that this is part of the process, I hope it is, a phase, but - if this is fair and you’d let me - I wish you different days now.

Increadable drummer. Buddy Rich had legendary hands. This man is no less reguarding his feet. I'm older but never heard anyone comparable to him.
