possibly his own preference....for own reasons...(age?).... others are ok... same like performers in HK , things have changed as i have observed for more than 6 decades!

I don't think it's 大陸腔, just her unique voice, if you listen to her interviews, you can hear her voice resembling what we hear here... i am ok. For me personally, 紅線女's new style 唱腔 造手(which has affected many female artists in mainland) makes me most uncomfortable - that exaggeration is as i understand it works best for western operas/musicals, soprano .... like Phantom of the Opera, Broadway plays :) but she adopted it and taught people that style...what can you do, that's very common in their training/upbringing

看得出各人的努力，舞台華麗，衣服用心，唱得唔錯，可是化妝真係好恐怖，太重手，似紙扎公仔，必須改善。

yes , 各人的努力，舞台華麗，衣服用心，唱得唔錯, "太重手，似紙扎公仔" in some instances, as I saw it, mostly ok... need to consider the age factor affecting the use of cosmetics!! this is very true

大陸唱腔，唉。大陸造手硬蹦蹦無深度。

to be honest, 唱腔 has evolved a lot - including this performance - quite comparable to our HK artists. Some fundamentals wont change - same like personal upbringing....family of origin lol.... not growing up under the same influence.
