My reactors exam 1 question 1 was A -> R -> S irreversible reactions in series. Xanderwaals would have made a porn joke over his 100% and Austin P would have put me back in the pocket over my comments. Is theta extent of reaction? At 42:23 V/FA0 = (500L)/(5mol/L): How does the units cancel out ? It dosn't makes sense.
@adammoninghoff9743
@adammoninghoff9743 4 жыл бұрын
V/FA0=L/(mol/hr)= L*hr/mol which is the same units as 1/ra (1/(mol/(L*hr))

Thank you so much , I have one question: in 34:42 you didn't put the denominator(1+εx) WHY ?....I think it must be ..rA=k cA0(1-X)/ (1+εx) .....
@railitaylor
@railitaylor 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing that out. I think you're right because it's a gas phase reaction.

hi raili! can you do problem 4-12? :( going to be reporting on it 10 hours from now and i really can use a little help :) the problem goes: a.) The irreversible elementary reaction takes place in the gas phase in an isothermal tubular (plug-flow) reactor. Reactant A and a diluent C are fed in equimolar ratio, and conversion of A is 80%. If the molar feed rate of A is cut in half, what is the conversion of A assuming that the feed rate of C is left unchanged? Assume ideal behavior and that the reactor temperature remains unchanged. What was the point of this problem? [From California Professional Engineering/Engineers Exam.] b.) write a question that requires critical thinking, and explain why it involves critical thinking.
