In this video, I'm giving you one fact about every character in The Simpsons by Matt Groening. Some will be facts only die-hard fans will know, fun facts, facts you should know, and others you didn't know about your favorite Springfield residents.
Also, I’ll only be covering recurring characters - ones that have appeared in a good handful of episodes. That means no celebs or one offs. There'll be a couple of exceptions to this rule, but if I talked about every single character that ever appeared in The Simpsons, this video would be a week long. And it would be extremely boring too.
But as a little challenge, if I have missed a character then please provide a lil interesting fact about them down in the comments. But to do that, you have to watch the full video!

In fact, I'll one-up you and provide *two* facts about him! • His beard is (supposedly) a tattoo. • As a boy, he ran away from home after one-too-many attempts by Marvin to cure his bed-wetting through makeshift electroshock treatment. A random bit of trivia about the Nahasapeemapetilon Octuplets: according to concept art, Gheet and Sandeep had each other's names, and Uma originally had pigtails. As well as this, all the female ones would've had the Bindi dot on their foreheads, which was later dropped.

A fun fact about him: - Michael Jackson actually voiced him, but he was credited as John Jay Smith! Though, the creators (and Michael as well) did not want his singing voice to sound very similar to mj's. So, Kipp Lennon was hired to sing instead of mj! He was trained by Michael Jackson himself!

Definitely take the comments of your videos helping people sleep as a compliment. I watched many of your videos, many times over. So listening to them later to help us sleep is saying they've become a comfort and soothing. I myself have a busy mind so it can be hard for me to sleep since I'm over thinking. I often put on videos (yours too) in the background so my mind is focused on on that. If it's a video I've seen before, that really helps as it blocks out all other little noises or thoughts. I just listen with my eyes closed til I fall asleep. It's comforting

Considering how long it felt like it took for the Simpsons to finally get a movie, the fact there's been almost as many seasons AFTER the movie as there were BEFORE it feels wrong. The movie came out after season 18, and episode 400. We're now on the 17th post-movie season, and in about two seasons we'll pass 800 episodes. The idea that, in only a couple years, there will be more post-movie episodes than there are pre-movie ones is insane. Also, the reason I'm talking about the movie is the Hank Scorpio fact made me think about it.

There’s a video game sprite for one of the simpsons games that still has Marge with the bunny ears, any time a character gets shocked by electricity in the game you see the characters skeleton and when you see Marge’s sprite get electrocuted you can see the bunny ears as part of the skeleton

Whilst I'm aware you mentioned "no celebrities", I feel that the late Stephen Hawking deserves an honourable mention. He is one of the most iconic celebrities to have appeared on the show and has appeared as himself at least 4 times in 4 separate episodes. It's also revealed in the episode "Don't fear the roofer" that he is the owner of 'The Little Ceasers' pizza chain down the street from Moe's tavern. The way in which he was originally written into the show was also interesting. According to an interview, he said that his daughter, Lucy, knew one of the scriptwriters for the Simpsons who wanted to write an episode involving him. He accepted the invitation - quote: "because it would be fun and because The Simpsons is the most popular thing on American Television." This episode would be Series 10's 'Lisa's brain'. Oh, and 👴
