Grew up on bluegills and other panfish. Light tackle takes them to a whole new level of fishing fun! Well done Bill Dance. You were one of my grandad's favorites! Good memories!!!

Crazy Bluegill fact. Take three or four fillets put them in a bowl add a little onion and season to taste. Then add two pats of butter. Microwave them until done turning them one time. Takes three or four minutes. cover bowl with a glass plate.

Here is a tip , Dont be scared to Rig up a 1/8th oz spinner bait , Because i have personally had 3 bream interested in a strike king 1/8th oz spinnerbait in september , i also got a bream to bite the zoom bubble gum trick worm , i even caught them on a bite size maple sausage on a eagle claw 2X treble hook , remember they'll bite anything they can get their mouth on

Hey Bill, I heard that bass will avoid lures that caught them before because pain is the best teacher. Is this true?

I haven't experienced that.

I know opinions are like assholes everybody's got one. With that said,bluegills are #1 easy to catch but a bass or a trout is much better. I eventually get bored of 6in panfish but they are fun on a 2wt flyrod especially if the occasional half pounder bites
@rider660r8 ай бұрын
An 80% of the time they're the only fish easier to catch than a stinking bass.They're also a lot better eating ,and make great Catfish bait. Forgot how stinking commercialized this show was.......even back in the 80's. To bad there wasn't a Richard Gene the Fishing Machine back then.
