if you want to keep the mayo and cheese makers in the coop/barn I recommend adding a chest inside each building too where you can store your milk pail and extra eggs and milk, that way it's all always in the same place personally I like to put my mayo/cheese makers and the storage chest inside the animal buildings, next to the door so it's all right there when I come in and when I leave

the big barn and delux coop and such are literally jsut upgrades to the ones you currently have: just like how your house can be magically enlarged ont eh inside by robin, she'll do the same to the barn/coops. definitely worthwhile to work towards, but i would also start the vault too

And he can move animals as long as he have multiple coops or barns. He does need to upgrade both for the community center (and he loves animals) so those are most important at the moment. The vault should be finished before summer start so he get access to Starfruit seeds from Sandy, but if he get all those seeds in the ground and are able to water them, that will not be a problem.

The immediate area around your fruit trees needs to remain clear, otherwise they won't grow. Regularly clear the quarry as new rocks spawn daily. You can find some pretty useful items there.

The thing that will help you the most in spring is not a field of 20 sprinklers to water your crops for you but 20 preserve jars to prosses all your crops. You would not be looking at a thousand ten or so in your bank but closer to one hundred thousand in your bank by the end of spring if you have 20 preserve jars and anything you want done. As soon as you can use any extra energy clear cutting the forest by marne's it will all grow back by the end of fall. BTW keep a third of your strawberry and most other crops for seeds for next year you will get a way to make your own seeds from crops as your farming skill goes up. The mayo empire is a lot more work the Preserves Market then becoming an Vineyard making kegs takes Oak Resin (make 10 tappers for that long term project 200 kegs for the Wandering Roads Vineyard).

time does indeed fly. An in-game day is just under 20 rl minutes, in it's entirety, as in 6am-2am Happy new year, both in-game and irl btw, I love the balance you have, taking our hints in but still making the playthrough your own, it's why I keep watching. If I wanted optimal, there's people I could watch, I like your take on it.

haven't finished the video yet but just a tip, the copper hoe works like the watering can. If you hold the button you can load it to hit more spots at once

As others have said, the big barn and coop are just upgrades to your existing ones. However, just so you know, if you do build a second coop or barn (starting with the small size), you can in fact transfer animals from one to the other. After petting, touch them again and the menu will give you the option to change their home. Also, once you have unlocked an animal by building a higher-level barn or coop, you can place it in one of any size if you want. It's a really good idea to upgrade fully - you unlock all the animals, and they also will be automatically fed (as long as you have hay in your silo).

Tip: if you hold down your copper hoe (same as the watering can) it will do 3 spaces. And when it's iron it will do 5 :)

You can hold down the button as you walk to plant in a continuous line vs clicking every tile. You can also hold down the button to pet your animals or put out hay without clicking individually.

TIP: you can place torches on the sprinklers for some light :) And one thing I normally do is put all the sprinklers aligned so that there's no un-watered spots between them, that way it's harder to forget to water a spot and also not water where the sprinklers have already watered bc i can basically just ignore that "chunk" entirely. But it's up to you of course

Did you forget that you upgraded your hoe and spent 3 times as much work and energy as you needed to get the fields ready? Anyways I am going to give you hints for 4 secrets today: 1. There is a mini dungeon at the quarry, there is a farm upgrade down there but if you are doing it with your current weapon, you need to be careful since it is a bit harder then the lvl 50s of the mines. 2. There is a hidden path east of Clint's house. It holds a treasure. 3. If you craft a staircase (100 stone) and place it in Lewis bedroom, you can enter a secret area but don't tell anyone, it is a secret. 😁 4. There is a hidden treasure close to where the bookseller set up shop. Number 2 and 3 takes a minute, 3 maybe 3 minutes but the mini dungeon takes a while. It is however the by far greatest of the treasures since you won't find a better upgrade until you unlocked mastery. A final secret is that you seem to have the impression that completing the community center is the endgame, but it is not even if it was 8 years ago. You have just seen half the game so far, there are 3 large dungeons and 1 mini. You still have a couple of more new friends to meet as well. But take your time, the only 2 things in the community center you need to keep an eye on is those crops and the fish tank since until you unlocked the greenhouse, you wont be able to grow crops at any time and until you get magic bait, some fish can only be caught at certain seasons. So take a rainy day in each season for just fishing, fish a few hours in the lake outside Robin, then go down and fish in the river in town a few hours and finally a few hours in the sea. Some fish require rain. so don't waste a day you wont need to water all your crops. For spring, I think you already have the lake fish so you can skip that but the catfish is in the river and the eel late at night in the sea, both on rainy days.

I absolutely love how you play Stardew and I really enjoy your playthrough ^^ But I'm gonna be honest, that wallpaper and floor combination is horrendous! The underneath advice contains a small spoiler about an item that's available to purchase which is barely a spoiler but still. Also I advice (but some might disagree because the price is much higher than buying it loose) to wait with buying wallpapers and floorings until you can buy the catalogue from Pierre's shop. While this is expensive, this gives you unlimited free wallpapers and floorings. Same with furniture (this has a catalogue or sort in Robin's shop AFAIK). This only applies if you plan on decorating a lot or switching things around. (also not all furniture are available in a catalogue)

Using the pickaxe works very well - I never tried using the hoe to pick up the seeds.

Are you aware that you can move buildings around on your farm??!! Robin will do it for you and it’s free!!! :) BTW there is a hardwood stump behind the coop. The coop and barn are updated in place so the animals don’t have to move. Congratulations on your first year *cheers*

For me, I didn't like having the egg and milk processors in the coop and barn. It was too many extra steps to monitor when done. I use a shed for kegs and barrels and storage chests for fruits and vegetables only. I have all the other items like furnaces, mayo makers and chests to hold minerals, wood and fiber connected with a workbench outside on a platform of wood or stone paving.

Happy New Year, both in real life and in game! 🎉 In my opinion, you play the game the same way I play it - taking it seriously but also focusing on having fun and not rushing. Personally, I like playing that way and like watching you play that way; makes everything more enjoyable in my opinion. Not that there is anything wrong with playing another way, though! There's no "correct" way to play this game. I hope I don't ever make you feel pressured by my suggestions. I mean them to be exactly what they are supposed to be - suggestions! You obviously do what you want to do! Double check what you need for the Spring Crops bundle. I think you are missing green bean seeds to plant. Note about them: they grow on a trelis that you can't walk through, so be mindful of where you plant them. Also, take a look in the chest that has your seeds - I think there some in there that you'll be able to plant! One tip that I have seen floating around that I personally haven't done but might be helpful to you is to have one cheese/mayo machine by your house and then the rest in the barn/coop. That way, once you see that the one by your house is ready, you'll know that the other ones will be ready soon, and it might help you remember them easier. I personally keep all my mayo/cheese machines in my kitchen, but that's just my preference. Something that may be helpful for you to do at one point after you have finished planting everything is upgrade your hoe. In fact, I think you've upgraded it once already! Try holding down the button to use it to see what happens; it works like the upgraded watering can! The more you upgrade it, the more tiles you can till at once!

The first step gather then fill then feed and interact that way you dont forget. A shed is pointless a just to the new way or go back to the old it is about relearning your methods or not

You dont need big storage right now you need to get a workbench and put your crafting storage around it so anything in the chests around it counts as your inventory so your crafting menu will show everything you can make in color and you need to have no crafting materials in your limited back pack space.

Yeah, it is better to upgrade the coop and barn before starting to think about a shed. Those are more important then the work bench though, it is a quality of life improvement but it isn't vital.

@@loke6664 LOL I just want to see him need more space and stop digging 4 times the amount of area he needs to plant in but not watering the crops he did get in. At this point the 3 gold bars he has made into sprinkler would have been 60% of the gold watering. He is just now close to a million made by the farm I want to see him figure out how to have a million in his bank. He will not do that with the sprinklers he is making and the random placement he has. Even with the silver can he will be running in circles unless he waters what the sprinklers are covering

You can make seeds and grow forage as it is now you have 30 spring wild seeds from last year already. If you gather one of each forage in a season in crafting you can make 10 forage seeds for that season. You generally don't buy things that grow you farm them yourself and for goodness sake selling food and giving it as gifts is just as profitable as Artisan goods. You are treating your kitchen like the worst kind of bachelor boys life style you learned to cook just do it.... You have a very bad habit of living in the moment in this game rather then having it ready when you need it

I know people have suggested to build a Shed for your chests, but if I'm being honest, I think the only reason you should build one is: -As a whim. So there is one more building in your farm. It's fun to roleplay and make your farm look real/natural. I know you like that sort of thing, so I won't stop you if you want one

Do not get a Shed get another house first because if you put it by an farm entrance you can sleep there if you are running late and still fill it with preserve jars. if so fill them all at the same time and put one in your bedroom if you see the one in the bedroom produce you know the others is the other house did as well. Make a chest to keep in the barn and coop that way you can keep eggs milk and the milking pail by where you need it. Empty chest you can pick up filled ones you can push.

This is painful to watch you plant your crops you hoe so much extra you will never use. SO much time you are losing and so much harder for you to water. If you want to make you farm pretty I see that but digging out triple the space you need and not watering what you got in so it will grow.
